2.4 swap
are the 24 lbs injectors neccesarry.. whats wrong with the injector that are already on the 2.4??
i dont understand why i have to get all new parts
like the Dohc fuel Rail whats wrong with the one thats on the 2.4??

ok the reason you need the 24lb injectores is this....
Yes the 2.4 uses the same injectors we have in our 2.0's rated at 19lb however the stratus pcm sends a fater or longer pulse width to the injector then our 2.0 pcm sends there for if you leave the 19lb 2.4 injectors in it will run lean.
You know I'm not quite sure why you have to use the 2.0 DOHC fuel rail all i know is that you have too... maybe different connectors.
Noone said you have to by new. just different parts... alot of it has to deal with that your putting a motor that wasent designed to fit into a neon in a neon and then running that motor with neon sensors and computer...and just to save you time, no you can not use the stratus computer. Wiring harness from the pcm to the cabin is compleatly and I mean compleatly different.
I'm not going to lie to you boxer It is a big job and there is alot of stuff to do to get the 2.4 to work, alot more then justswapping in a 2.0,however the payoff in the end is great....
Granted I've never done this swap before Josh but Dude I spend maybe 4-5 hours a day reading on here and mostly the .org.
I would not sugest you signing up with the org Hell I dont even post there just pm people when i want to buy there parts. The guys over there tear any and ALL newbee's up and throw them to the curb...You allways no matter what will get a "what now you want us to spoon feed you why dont you go and read and thensearch and then read it again and then come back after you have read everything you can find and then read again." everything that could possably be talked about has allready been said over there and there search button dont work worth a **** due to there being over 10 years worth of post. I have read and read and read, Just ask us honestly. I will guide you the best I can and if I dont know I will look it up I have alot of stuff in my fav. of there post that I can easly dig up...
