I just bought a new fuel pump for my Neon SOHC and it won't start, I checked the coil(bat) terminal(middle connector) and it doesn't light up when I turn the key foward, but lights up when I crank it. When I turn the key foward, I don't here the fuel pump turn on , nor when I crank the engine the pump isn't on while I crank. Any Idea what this could be, I was told that It might be ther crank sensor, that if the PCM doesnt read a crank signal it won't turn on the fuel pump.

Was the pump already installed ina canister or do you install it? What fuel tank style do you have? Steel or plastic?
I recently tossed an srt pump on my girl's 95 (using the 95 canister of course). After install I thought it wasn't priming but it's just extremely quiet.
Go pull the pump connector. Take a test light and put the two test light wires in the connector(one on each of the outside ones; the inner two are for the level sender). Have someone crank the car while watching the test light. If you get no light then check the relay(swap it with the horn one if your horn works; can try that with the asd as well, check the fuel pump fusein the relay box, check the ignition feedfuse in the cabin and then check thecrank sensor.
