God this is so tempting...

RE: God this is so tempting...
this is also kinda off topic but i was always wondering if you could take a regular front mount intercooler and put a filter on one side of it and run the other side to the throttle body. would this get you cold air? or would air have to be rushing through it for it to cool it down.

the purpose of an intercooler on a turbo aplication is to cool the air, and so you wonder why it wouldnt help for n/a right?
well anytime you compress a gas it generates heat, not to mention that a turbo generates alot of heat to begin with. so the air comes from the atmosphere at outside temp. gets heated up by the turbo, goes through the intercooler to bring the tempature back down, because cold air is more dence. On an n/a application the air is taken at the tempature of the atmosphere and the only time it gets heated is by the intake manifold as it enters the engine. so its already at a good tempature, especialy if ur running a cai.

i dont think it wont work, remeber a/c takes alot of power from the motor, so pretty much yo might have the same amount of power, your probably better off getting two thos those junks and trying it, and having a small pipe so it can make the air flow little faster and quick and tighter.
