i was wondering if there are any other brand of peformance cams for the Dohc neon becuz the crane cams are exspensive.. and ive tried to search on google for other cams but all i can find is cam gears

 

as far as i know, crane is it for the dohc.....either way its gonna be expensive since there are 2 cams

 

ok yeah its for the dohc 2.4 but have been told that the 2.0 peform better so right now im looking at cams $430

$870 for prolly not even 20 hp thats alot of money but im pretty sure im still going to

 

with larger cams you may want to get the titanium valve spring retainers as well

 

i was told that just getting new stock ones would work the same

 

and to get teh springs with retainers thats 200 more dollars for retainers...

 

you need something a little stronger to hold up well againt the stiffer springs

 

i think crower cams has some for the dohc. However, dont be like the rest of the world and think that what u see online is all they have! For the 460 ford crane has over 200 differant grinds! they only advertise a small handfull of them though because listing that many is pointless since most people really dont know what lift/duration their after anyway. they just know that bigger appears to be better. if you talk to a sales rep. over the phone he will be able to help you select a combo of cams that will work with what you are trying to do.

 

What about comp cams? I have a camquest program from them and they have cams in their catalog.

i will have UDp, header, larger tb, tb spacer, 2.5 exhaust, 24#injectors, stage 1 clutch, and thats about all the upgrades that ican think of for the 2.4 so abou thow much hp am i looking at for putting in Crane Cams And The other Things

cuz i said 20 and if 20 hp is worth 1000 thats crazy
