i wanted to know if theres any gauges that can be plug and play for a 97 neon, the reaon why im asking is because, some times my car will chift when it feels like it, and then there times it will not shift, i drove the car flooring it and it will change at 30mph, then times it will change at 45, and my girl i really dont know how but i guess that it didnt change till 60, im guessing she didnt hear it change or something, but i want to put a rpm cluster on it so i can know what rpm is it changing at, i can get one at the j/y but just need to know if its swapable.

 

from what ive heard if you can find a 1gen cluster with a tachometer its plug a play

 

yeah there all plug and play except for the 95 i believe

 

thanks for the replys, also now i want to know how can i take the door handles off the car, i have a 4dr, im trying to change the speakers on the front doors, cause one of them are blown, i have taken them off on different cars, but i want to ask you guys before i break something, my toyota is real easy to take off but this car looks different, and i dont want to break it.

 

you don't need to take your door handles off to take your door panelsoff. if you open the inside door handle and look behind it - you can see a little torx screw. there is another screw down inside of the little pocket/handle thing on your door. after you remove those two scews, the bottom of the door panel will pop outward just by pulling on it all the way across. then if you lift upward it will nearly remove completely. you could probably get in there well enough as you are. if you have power windows - you just undo the clip by prying the sides out on it. the power door lock connection is the same. if you have manual windows i dunno what thats like.

 

damn my bad i meant to say the handle for the window, but its ok, i think i got one more qs, i have taken out my clust to look behind it and i started to take off the light, but does the bulb it self comes off the plastic thing? cause i have some bright LED lights to replace it, but to me it seems like it wont come off.

theres a metal clip that lookes like a C it holdes the window crank on the shaft. be carefull when removing it not lose them.

as for the cluster, dont be afraid to start a new post
