Default *very interested* need advice

So as i have been looking to turbo my car i have been talking to a lot of people. I came across a deal the other day that i can't refuse. This guy is offering to sell me his srt4 motor with 20K miles on it and a AGP stage 4 turbo kit along with everything AGP makes for the turbo. Yeah all this for $4300. Now what im wondering is what else im gonna beed to swap this into my car because the AGP stage 4 on a srt4 puts out about 400whp. Ill have to do the srt4 swap. I guess what im mainly wondering is how much more will it cost to do the swap because the thought of having this i feel like a kid in a candy store. Let me know what u guys think about anything.

Does it come with the wiring harness, ecu, and dash cluster? If not it still sounds a little high, even with the turbo...

You are getting soaked. $4500 for the engine and Turbo fk that. a Hahn kit on your DOHC engine would be cheaper and better plus come with a warrenty. And I never thought I'd call the Hahn kit cheap. If you buy that kit it will be the biggest mistake anyone could make. If you buy it you'll make Neon owners everywhere look ignorant. After having my $200 turbo set up on my car I can't imagine paying 10x more for the same or similar power.

My turbo set uphas untapped power just waiting to be released but if I released it I'd probably blow the rods out of my aluminum pan, which is why I'd just rather spend $400 on rods that can handle the power and slap the motor together mostlystock with just a $200 cam and jack the psi on my turbo up to 20 and have a nice day. The 7psi I'm running is just the tip of the iceburg. Now is the time for a reality check, you need to ask yourself how much power you want or how fast do you want to go? what quarter mile time do you want to run? Can you handle that muchpower in a Neon? I think this kit you speak of is highly overrated and your taking one in the *** from a big **** if you buy it.

Just my 2 cents.

well if u r getting JUST the engine, no trans or wiring harness, ecu.... u will have A TON of money invested in this car before u can even get it drivable..... u have to have a tranny to hold that much power, srt 4, and a wiring harness and ecu....(most important) with out it the car will NEVER run.... but that is just me.... seems high to me, but it is ur car and ur money.....

(i cant really talk, i have invested 16k in a neon......15,898 includes the price of the carto be exact, i just went threw my file that says "hot rod neon")

i think swaping is a pretty good idea, its hard to argue with displacement. the only problem i see is the price.

you might find a better deal at this link

Stock MTX tranny works just fine on the SRT-4 motor.

I understand its a lot yes, but you think 4k is a lot for a brand new srt4 motor and a entire turbo set up that pushes 400whp? honestly im probably not gonna get it but still its not a rip off specially if i had a srt4 with a lot of miles

still seems like a hell of alot of money....
you figure that if you spend $4300 on that setup, then you will probally be looking at another $1500 atleast to get it up and running.....

$5700 seems like a hell of alot of money to me....that much money can get you a really nice car

i think it would be worth it if you had an srt-4. it maybe nice with that agp kit but its to much work to do all that. just build your engine and hahn it. be around the same hp.
