I just pulled the error code from my neon today one of the error code was a cylinder 3 misfire the plud and wires are new is this mean my coil is on the fritz as there is no distibutor? any thoughts on it would be appreciated

 

did you go over ur injectors

 

no I haven't, I run injector cleaner with every tank though I've only had the car a few months

 

could be plugs could be wires ..could also be the coil itself ...just because u run injector cleaner doesnt mean that there isnt a piece of dirt plugin the injector

 

Can you feel the miss? Unplug your injectors while the engine is running one by one and see if the engine stumbles.

 

no it runs great I cleared the codes and no misfire code just the downstream o2 sensor how ever after it threw the code the whole dash panel would blink anf the whole car would shudder for a second but after I reset it, it stopped so I don't know what is going on the plug wires and plugs only have less than 1000 miles on them

 

I have near the same problem. My neon runs fine cold, but gets very bad warm. I have a newer fuel pump. New fuel filter, plugs, wires. I tried a different coil, and PCM. I sometimes have a tough time reaching 20 mph! Please help.
