ok now i know it will work. does anyone know how itwill runwith the dohc motor and the sohc trans? i know i should get the dohc trans but i really dont see many dohc neons in the junk yard around here. if i do most of the time there is no motor or trans or thay want to hit u over the head with the price for it.

The sohc trans will give you the best mileage, but the dohc mtx will provide better acceleration. The 1G sohc mtx has a 3.55 FD with a .72 fifth gear. Very trall gears for good mileage. The dohc mtx has a 3.94 FD with a .72 fifth gear. The higher final drive makes for an increase in acceleration given the shorter gears. The r/t mtx has the 3.94FD with a .81 fifth gear. This provides an 11% increase in acceleration with the very short gears. Ideal for any n/a neon. It is what I am using currently.
