ok i got my replacment head and the exhaust side has tho9se humps in it. can they be removed ? and what are they there for ? oil? i want to port them out bigger and i dont want to remove it if there doing sumthing. and how do you guys hold the cam still to get the gear off when the head is off the car? theres no spot for a wrench to hold the cam still help me out brothas. also this guy said the torque converter is a high stall it kinda looks like a new stock one how do i tell the differnce except for installing it and finding out??

as for the humps, i left mine alone, well actually, i had them ground down about .125" but not all the way. i seem to remember it losing torque if removed totally.

ps: if this guy does not send me the money within an hour and a half, the mani and tb is yours if you dont see your pm's.

nice sweet deal good looks. so if im turboing witch i am taking the hump out would dramaticly raise my topend power. right?? when you get a head from howell do they remove it???

yes they remove it... however you need to know there is a waterjacket below that hump... take to much out and bye bye head... you need to gasket match it and nothing more...

I wouldn't buy from Howell unless you don't mind waiting months, and months, and months to get anything from them. I ordered a motor back in NOV and I'm still waiting. I hope the quality is worth the wait.

does anyone know where to get a new or used 2001 acr magnum head/intake mani, this engine combo was never sold in cali since it doesnt pass our retarded smog rules, so any help finding one would be great

im willing to pay for a new on if thats what it takes
