You must have the Hydrogen Powered Neon. The fix is to fill your tank with well water instead of city water.

There is no reason I can think of why you would smell chlorine.

this is a car not a science expirement ..with that being said ...alot of things can cause an engine to smell..a hot clutch ..hot brakes ...coolant or oil leaking out onto sumthing hot...dead or junk gas.... are you beating on the car when the odor happens ..if so id say clutch or brakes ...if not id say oil or antifreeze...just go over everything under the hood as far as lines go ..burnt antifreeze is a unpleasant smell... check all your fluid levels ..including trans...ok when you have all that done come back ..ill see if i can help ya out ..but thats the basics

Or... you could just keep abusing it till something breaks, then you'll know for sure what it was.If your up north maybe its from that crap they put on the ground to thwart the ice... could be all over the bottom side of your car or around your muffler.

maybe your body is close to spontanious combustion and when ur hard on ur car ur adrenaline pumps which raises ur body temp and gets u closer. some day ull take a corner too nicely and be all jazzed up about and burst into flames! most states put calcium on the roads up here, its designed to disintegrate in heat, so its probably not that.

brakes are a grand place to start. some pads smell bad when you're hard on them. i got some ceramic pads and they wreak if u need to stop in a hurry.
