i have a wrecked 2nd gen 5 speed neon...i was wondering if that trans and everything will work as a direct swap in a 1st gen both SOHC

 

it will fit, however u will just need to change the bellhousing

 

how diffcult is that BTW the 1st gen is an auto and yeah yea i kno what i need to swap from auto to 5 speed

 

changing the bellhousing is a breeze, the only difficult part is getting the end of the gear shafts to line up as there are about 3 in that are close together and one is about 1/2' taller than the other to. there is about 5 shafts in there total tho, all in all about 20 mins to change the bellhousing.

02 n i only have the engine and trans swap parts left everything else that was salvagable is gone

 

oooo i was hopin u mitea had the window switches. o well

 

it had manual windows anyway lol
