NEED HELP WITH CRICKET CHIRPING NOISE IN TRANNY
Hey all there's a "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEING" SOUND coming from my MTX. I recently replaced my clutch and throwout bearing about 3 wks ago with a brand new set. The noise goes away when the cluch is pressed in a little taking out the slack. Does the 97 Neon MTX 2.0 SOHC have a clutch cable adjuster? If so where's it located.

could be one of two things...
you dident install your trowout bearing correctly, either you dident line up the tabs or you didentclean the shaft and re-lube it with lithium grease
or
your clutch cable is streached causing the sound to go away when you press down the pedal a little bit...
theres a expensive way to fix the cable and a cheap way...
expensive way = buy a new one...
cheap way...
get a wide zip tie pull clutch cable out of bellhousing a little bit and zip tie right where the cable meets the belhouseing holding the cable out... in turn taking up the slack in the cable... heres a pic...
