I have a 96 neon Sohc, auto tranny... lately it's been stalling a lot. the car will start up just fine, and idle without any problems. I can even get going down the road just fine then out of no-where it'll start to sputter, i can mat the gas but the car won't pick up speed and shortly after will stall... usually once it stalls it will take me a few minutes to get it running again, but will then only make it about another mile before it cuts out again. any ideas??

 

first thing I would check is the fuel pump. the ground wire broke on mine and made my car act like that. drove me crazy for weeks. almost sold the car broken[sm=smiley29.gif]
