Come on guys, you can't blame a guy for sticking up for what he believes in. I think Slash really believed what he preached about, his recent insults aside his information wasn't half bad. Just because you disagree with a guys methods don't question his resolve. from what i seen of his pics was that he really did have his turbo on his car and all he got was flak from people saying he couldn't turbo his car. He had a different opinion about things and he presented his opinion while you guys used yours to say what you believed does it make either of you guys bad... no. I'm not trying to stick up for him cuz what he said was out of line.. (it was funny though ) He did have links that at least said why he believed what he believed at least all the times I seen him talk about sohc vs dohc and the laquer thinner and ect... all those times he had links to prove he didn't make it up as he went along. I didn't always agree with him but that doesn't mean i didn't respect his expirences and his knowledge.

he did seem to know his stuff, but the rants and the insults and language are too much, especially if you have a some younger people, 15, 16 years old, that browse here looking for info on there first car.

 

^^ AGREED..... i think the post on the neon page (not first or second gen specific) was the end of him... i was just tryin to help a new guy on the site about a turbo set up.. he started in about u dont need all that crap (rrfpr, return line, pump ect)....... then spud jumped in and spuds post was to the point, like always.. and slash was bashing administration, and everyone else becasue we spend to much money on our cars... not our fault we want it to be realible.... i never got into it with slash but i think the only person that i have ever gotten into it was with 96acr...but bad days do that to people.... anyway.....

Why don't you get asrt4 if you want a reliable turbo car, $15,000 that must mean its reliable. if a person is smart and knows how to tell if parts are good then theres nothing wrong with used stuff, i mean for crying out loud our first GenNeons are 10 years old how reliable is that? we're in the wrong business if we want reliable and performance.

 

I HAVE SRTS!!!!!! lol, i like to beat them in my 02 neon.... it is realible, and quick.... that makes me happy.....there is nothing wrong with getting used stuff... i never said that, i have used stuff on my car... nothing wrong with it..... get it for a good price and u got a deal..... but to skip over very inportant things to keed a car realiable is two different things....
