did you notice a throttle response difference??? Do you have a vacume leak???

have you tried useing the sensors off of the mtx tb???

yea i tryed the sensors off the auto and mtx but same thing.. yea with the mtx i felt ok power until 4200 then it took off real quick to about 6500, but when i put the auto one on, i felt ***** to the wall power from 1200-4200 but then after that it took a lil to get up there ta 6500... even when i floor it it takes awhile to get up there..and no theres no vacumm leaks

it defies all resonable logic... it sould be giving you more power not much but some and it shouldent effect your top end should help it... This really boggles my mind...

I have heard of some of the tb's not coming from the factory with a O-ring in them... Not certain where the O-ring goes... its been awhile since I seen the post... check the tsb's there may be one for it...

i think i figured out the thing that's happening finally

he didn't change the throttle cable cam (and shaft?), so the atx tb with the auto cable cam is made to make the autoFEEL faster, when really it just opens the throttle faster

with the mtx tb, the cable cam is less agressive (almost perfectly round, instead of an egg shape), so the motor doesn't FEEL as powerful, but it's WAY easier to get moving from a stop, as the tb doesn't open as far with a little throttle blip, so it's easier to match the revs you want

also, look at http://www.ssheaders.com/header.htmfor an explanation of headers, and before you ask what headers have to do with throttle bodies, read the article

basically, it says that a smaller opening (intake or exhaust) will give better low rpm power (shift the power range lower) because the air flow will have speed, while a larger opening (again, intake or exhaust) will shift the power range higher, because the engine can breathe better.

now, i may be somewhat wrong about the cam thing, because if you are going WOT then the cam shouldn't matter...

but the small opening/large opening thing should hold true for any part of the engine involving air movement

he souldent have to switch all that ...

in matter of fact due to his cams his motor is wanting more air and by installing the atx tb it should satisfy that need and give him more power... it dont make sense...

I agree with 95to96. I always learned when you increase your air flow you should gain top end but sometimes lose a little bottom end. When your racing or getting up on you only stay at higher rpms besides the launch. When I put on my throttle body it felt like i lost a little bottom but i noticed a little in the top. I also but my tb spacer on at the time. I didnt think it would be noticablle but it was.

i'm not sayin he needs to switch all of it, i'm just saying that with the atx tb, the top end should improve due to the flow characteristics

so all i would switch MAYBE is the throttle cable cam off the mtx tb to the atx tb, for easier throttle from a stop

it's a LOT easier to drive mine after switchin the cam like that

its not the tb cam that makes the stiffness its the spring...

I agree again. Who cares about the tension anways. As long as it is opening all the way when its floored. Like you said more air flow=more high end. So what does feeling in the pedal and what not have to do with the throttle body size? Did I miss something? If you want less air at low end dont push on the gas as much.
