I have a 95 neon and swapped a 97 into it. The problem is it tries to start but acts like it is out of time. Do i need to swap some of the 95 sensors onto the 97 engine? All the salvage yards say this swap isnt possible (95 only for the engine). PLEASE HELP !!! THANKS !!!!!!! MATT [:@]

 

almost all the sensors from the 95 need to be used.

what did you do about the sensors in the 1st place??

I used the 95 wiring harness and 95 intake manifold. I went back to work and fixed the problem. The problem was the 97 coil pack wouldnt work with my 95 set-up.Put the 95 coil pack on and runs great now. THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE !!!! MATT!!!!!!

 

Wow, you must be magic. All 95 sensors have round pins, while 97 sensors have flat pins...

 

Sorry ,fogot to say that when i did the modsthe 1st time that i switch the pigtails on the crank sensor and the coil pack. So when i put the 95 coil pack back on i switched the pigtail back on from the 95 wiring harness. THANKS !!! MATT!!!!![8D]
