Default wiring harness removal

hey guys, i was wondering how hard it is ta take the engine wiring harness outa my dohc.. like what tools and what places should i be aware of that mite be tricky, i can get one for 20$ so i need ta know how ta take them off i know sum unplug but idk where the rest would be.

its all basic wiring connectors that unplug except at the PCM. 1/4 ratchet and like a 5-8mm socket i beleive.

you sorta have to watch out for the locks too... there are sliding locks that lock the connectors in place so they dont come apart... you have to slide the red lock over then sqeeze the lever and then pull apart.

if by they you mean the wiring harness then yes it does... the starter has 2 connections to the wiring harness... a plug and then a ring that you have to remove by taking off a nut on the starter... as far as the alternator goes... you have one plug for the generator fieilds and then one other cant remember what its for right at this point...maybe a 3rd too...

k so im guessing about maybe an hour to get them all off... what pins do i have to change if i get a 97 harness?

See if you can pull the harness with the sensors. Some will have a different plug.

thats my only prob i have cuz i know the crank postioning sensor is a bitch to get while its on the ground... and they wont lift the car for me cuz the junk yard im goin to is a ripoff but its the closest one.... if i take my old plugs off and splice them in with the new one would the colored wires be the same?
