Default underdrive pulley question

I was thinking of getting a lightened underdrive pulley for my neon off ebay. My buddy put one on his probe, and it didn't seem to add any power, but it made the car much more hyper. I was just wondering if I could get a 2nd opinion. Do ya'll think it's worth $67 shipped?

the ebay underdrive pulleys work really well acually... you dont need to heat them up... they just slip right on and then tighten the crank bolt down...
