Got some bad news...
Well Jeff Ball's (maker of booger bushings) 12 second NA NYG car blew up last week week while at the track. Apperently threw a rod bolt and blew parts for about 150 - 200 feet. And from what it sounds like he's not going to be doing anything with it.
He said "that's been together for over 2 years. 300+ passes, around 35,000 street miles with various cams. it's always been a ticking time bomb about the rods holding up. today was unfortunately the day. bearings look nearly perfect other than being folded over where I found them laying on the ground. no one can correctly say it was oil-system related. also trashed my 1/2 size radiator, punched two holes in it."
He also went on to say " There won't be any upgrades. It's all done for at least a year, probably longer. It will get rolled off the trailer in the near future, cover thrown back on and then will have misc stuff piled on top of it indefinitely. I've dumped a LOT of money into it over the last 10 years. It's time to stop all that and find a cheaper hooby."
Heres a pic of what he was able to scrape off the track...

they do come with arp.
he however had the old version of the rod...
the newer version comes with a bigger stronger rod bolt...
and 12 volt you are right he said he couldent confirm if it was oiling related or not... he had a speical set-up in his oil pump witch rasise the psi of the pump... If i can remember striaght he added some sort of washer to the bleeder bolt so it flowed more or something dont quote me....

Closer than I thought, considering.... Sucks it went down, but he is quite right. It would cost WAY too much to repair/replace that. Gas going up at this rate, it should be at $10 per gal I the next few years.
