98 SOHC 230k miles

My cruise control seems to be about dead. Some of the time I can set it and things are good. Most of the time I set it and after about 30 seconds it drops off like I hit the brakes. If I forget to turn Cruise off at some point when I dont want it like coasting up to a light it trys to kick back on.

Any ideas?

 

Have you checked the fuse? Relay? Vacuum lines?

 

Where are the Vacuum lines located? It is not the Fuse or Relay; they check good and it would not be an intermittent problem those would make it a broke problem.
