I know that it has

dc 1.6 swap
ls tranny
11.1 to 1 compression.
some sort of cam
and then the basic bolt ons, ie...cai, exhaust, header

Jeremy I'm confident you timed the motor correct, I think boxer is shifting at the wrong rpm. You should have test drove it yourself to make sure though . I haven't met a Neon yet that couldn't hit the rev limiter thats atx or mtx.

yea somethings def off it its not revving rite. and a crx with a swapped motor and high comp with a cam should be a quick lil car. i bet it run in the 14's but def not 13's... and prolly higher 14's

I wasent able to test drive it due to the radiator leaking. Him not ordering a o-ring with the pt water inlet pipe. and the exhaust not being hooked up before i HAD to leave.

Damn that sucks, you might have been able to know if it was running right if u were able to drive it.Its not that hard to time a motor and your always extra cautious with stuff and the motor had 29,000miles on it what could go wrong?

I think Boxer needs to have somebody who knows how to drive go beat it and see if theres anything wrong.

Keep in mind a crx is lighter than a neon. Taking into account the intake, header, exhaust, "cams" (D16 is 80's dohc integra engine) and high compression, the car should certainly see mid to low 14's. If not better.

The LS1 engine was not in production until 98. You raced an auto LT1 engine, which does not have the top end the LS1 does. Your r/t would need more than the MPCM to keep with that, but you know that.

my mistake, not a huge pontiac man
and i did not race it, i simply kept up with it speed wise, seeing as my gauge only goes to 120, i wanted to see if i could actually hit 149 in a neon
ps that auto lt1 has at least 25k into it, it would kill me and most neons includiong srt4.
i saw it beat a viper. i dont think i need to say anything more

i thought the d16 was the 80's sohc 1.6 motor.. my friend has an old integra with the b16 dohc i think.... not positive though .. dont know much bout hondas and such. i know the crx will be makin good power and is light but less than a 14 in it is gona need a bit more than that i think
