Well, you better get starting with the turbo build [:-] it just does work that way. The Iceman was advertised as adding 8-10 hp. Wrong. More like 4 at best at WOT. Having more work helps , but then you get into what power used to drive around town, and the power used at WOT. While a car can dyno at 289whp, that is at full sprint. This is not the power used cruising on the free way, which is more like 215-220. Not to mention drive train loss. You have some good mods, but you are not even close to where you thought you were, so think of how much more money will be spent to get an n/a sohc to 180hp Turbo, dohc, or both, but that sohc is not going to cut it. At least get a mag head if you must have a sohc.

Hmm. Darn I just sold my nos kit. Will it be safe to run nos with my compression ratio? What all will I need to run it? Fuel and engine stuff?

Found this. Kinda neat. Thats what i am going to shoot for. I think I will go megasquirt to pull some more power also.
180+hp SOHC Recipe *
11:1 or 12:1 compression (aftermarket pistons needed)
Magnum SOHC Cylinder Head or Ported standard SOHC head
Crane 0014 or 0016 camshaft & matching valve springs
INDY Intake manifold or Magnum Intake manifold
Long tube header (Phatridz, Blackdog or Hytech)
Stage 1 and 2 modifications
Reprogrammed PCM combined with Piggy-back engine control or Stand-Alone engine management
More power is possible. On record there are at least 3-4 daily driven SOHC Neon making over 180hp at the wheels. I have seen only one dyno sheets to prove this, but Nate Greer has blasted 13.6@102! Very few DOHC have run faster trap speeds. This truly impressive and we have only just started to see the full potential of this engine. The revenge of the SOHC is on!
