Default 1995 Neon 37000

Hello Just joined up tonight and have a few questions. I have achance to buy a 1995 neon with 37000 miles on . It has ac, ps. cassette. I have talked to the lady that owns it as she said she was going to sell it because of her age. I have seen this car in the parking lot and it looked in excellent shape NowKelly BB lists retail value at $2775 in excellent condition private party value at $2120 in excellent condition $1860 in good condition. Just wondering if she would ask more for what the Bluebook price if itis worth it. If I did buy this car it would be my first Neon. ANY POINTERS on this purchase would be appreciated. ALSO, what major things should I look for when I try the car out? Thanks

Wow low mileage. Since its a 95 you can plan to change the head gasket on it. But wow. If some old lady owned it I bet its clean. Did you try nada.com to price it. I think its more accurate.

Old lady=automaticSOHC im willing to bet. But, maybe she was a bad mamma jamma and went for the stick DOHC which would be a great find. On top of the head gasket, I would also do the timing belt while they were at it. It has to be removed to do the deed and with it being 13 years old with that low of miles, it could have some strange age related ailments ie cracking and what not. Let her lead in the money department. She might be willing to let it go for less than its worth. If not, let her know the going rates for the car and go from there. Most oldies go low in a private sale anyways.

Thanks for the info. The car is a automatic. She IS going to call sometime this week to let me look and try the car out. Thank you all for all the info about the Neon. Hope to hear some more helpful tips. Thanks
