my neon
i have a plymouth neon sport with the DOHC 2.0l its an automatic 4 dr it has severe rust damage underneath the back end the supports holding the muffler is rusted through and th back frame is rusted pretty bad i was wondering if anyone could offer suggestions on what performance parts would be nice to add on and also what i can do about the rust damage i dont want the muffler or bumper to fall off one day while im driving it
yea ill try to get some pics up tomorrow right now its night the car came from up north so i believe the salt from the snow rusted it its my 1st car and it was only only like $900 so you get what you pay for
Well I have bought alot of neons. Not to be mean. I think they seen you coming
. I have never had a neon rusted out in the back that bad. The way you made it sound its rusted all over. Is there any holes? You cant weld to rust either. Then you also got to worry about getting hit in the back. Or maybe the back end falling of the car?? I will wait until I see the pics to decide.

alright well it seems to be back in the very back like i said i assume snow collected up there and the salt rusted it away whatever the reason previous owner didnt take care of it and its not mean i didnt personally buy it my dad got it from his dealer friend who got it from a kia dealer when someone traded it in so i didnt even get to look at it before i got it since it was my 1st car i was facinated so i looked it over under everywhere haha also i have another problem that sometimes the gauges dont work when i crank it i think the fuses make a bad connection and the brake light gets stuck on occasions but it runs so i cant complain too much
ok ill try to give that a look later the mechanic said it might be the master cylinder its dirty and has what appears to be a bit of leaf in it so like i said the previous owner obviously didnt do much to take care of it

The agauges have a clip in wire harness on the back. Sometimes they come loose. So pushing it inward sometimes gets it to clip back in. Otherwise A solder some apart on the back side of those clips.
