k. found my old throw out bearing - it had a broken tit. so when i took the transmission off the old one just fell out. so i assumed it just rode there. i was worried my fork was messed up. but now i see what happened and why i did this.
i cant blame myself for an error in the FSM and haynes manual. so as much as this sucks for my first engine build i think im doing ok. thanks for the help guys.

getting the engine ready to pull - 1st time took 3 days
this time - 3 hours.
get the lift in the morning, yank it. tear it down. re-do half of what i already did. and re-install.

.... my oil looks milky. the stuff lubricating the cylinder walls when i got the engine back from the machine shop was clear.... i hope its just that stuff in there. the engines only turned over maybe 2k times.
Sorry to bust into this thread. But FSU. You are wanted on the org forum. Some people are trying to contact you. Please respond to there messages and fix the problem. Otherwise you should just leave this forum also. I am sure people dont want theifs here.
