ooo and how bout if any one knows how much or where i can find an r/t tranny at... no one has any around where i live.... also how hard is it gunna be if i put the engine in from the top? i got a cherry picker ta help me out
just curious, but i have both a 9.8:1 sohc and a tlev 9.3:1 and the power difference isnt that noticable, i believe it was only supposed to be 3 hp at the crank, so why should it be so different with a DOHC on a SOHC block when it gives the same CR
ok cool i hope its easy ta get in there.... i know the dohc had alot of top end and i was able to go right up to 6500 no prob and it pulled like a SOB, but now i heard ppl sayin the sohc dont have that kick in the pants.....
The dohc head on a block with sohc pistons has a CR of 9.2:1, which is .4 lower than it should be. So each dohc piston raises the CR .1. The combustion chamber on the dohc head is larger that that of the sohc heads, this is why using the dohc pistons with an sohc head raises so compression to 10.3:1. And why is lowers the overall compression of a dohc head used with a 2.0L block with sohc pistons. It is my theory that the tlev sohc head has a larger combustion chamber lowering the CR.
hmmm.... well.... i guess il find out but since gas a 405 a gallon for reg i guess il stay with my sohc when i put it in, its just gunna have a header and high flow cat....
