You have no idea. I am taking mine out to:

1. help with mileage

2. help the 2.4L build planned

I am running a 03 r/t mtx and it is the bomb for speed. I am sure you have down shifted to fourth before, well the is what 5th gear feels like.

Not hard really. i had four at one point, including the 03 in my car now. Have two at the moment. Certainly make driving fun, and passing on the highway a breeze.

there really isnt a largely noticable difference between gas milage from the r/t tranny to a sohc tranny....the power difference is the main thing you notice....
im gonna stick with my auto for now and if i get an urge down the road, i might throw in an r/t tranny....regardless of gas prices....though regular right now by me is $3.93

True. Let me re-phrase. The r/t mtx accelerates 11% faster than other mtx's, so the opportunity to burn up more fuel is quite tempting. At 60 mph your are running about 2650 rpms in 5th.
