man i roll over people who drive civic cause first they dont know how to drive second they lower it too much and it slows the car down and creates too much tire spin and third the v tech on the older civic are weak especially on the sohc.

 

non v-tech is the equivalent to non fast...single cams are slow and beatable by most other cars, especially single cam Civics becuase they are low on HP

 

actually the honda motors have more problem with torq than hp. the 92-95 ex/si had 125 hp and 106lbft torq but vtec on those motors dosent kick in till 5500 rpm and i belive redlines at 7k

just got to watch out for the non ricers with the SiR II and GSR motors

SiR II putting out 168hp and 116lbft and GSR putting out 187hp and 127lbft

modmustang nobody is saying that the "minivan" civic Si is slow by any means "which it is" but its a drivers race since most people dont know how to drive their cars in the first place. This results in the above comments made by most of the neon drivers. Maybe you in your SI will beat our lowly economy neons but its still a drivers race in most conditions.

 

Mine's an economy car too! I was just hoping originally that everything i heard was wrong about neon's, but my gf bought one last night and guess what? It crapped the bed within an hour of having it with 68k on the odometer. I was originally impressed with the hp rating that the cars were putting out with SOHC, but i was wrong.[&o] I'm glad you all like them i hope you stick with them or upgrade to a SRT-4, but for me i like my Si w/ the K20a2.

i believe all civic si's "new body style" are i-vtec 160hp/132tq
