Default stupid hub nut!

so trying to get the automatic out of my new Neon, problem on the passanger side hub nut. it just wont come off! i've been having it soak in PB Blaster since Sunday and it still wont budge. and now the brakes aren't holding it well enough to keep it from rotating. any idea's on how to get it off? with the least amount of money lol.

if the brakes wont hold then u have to just sit the car on the ground in park with two lug nuts at least holding the wheel on. that way you know it wont go anywhere.

get a piece of metal pipe or something to slip over the ratchet to give you more leverage. or a breaker bar. it'll come off for sure.

I'm with fsu182 on this. With the wheel's on the ground E-break set and some one holding the brake as hard as they can, get a 4 or 5 foot breaker and there should be no way it wont come off. Or if you want to get crazy and try "redneck" style get your socket and breaker on the nut with the bar against the ground, start the car and put it in drive or reverse depending on which side, give it a little gas and that should get it.

yeah, redneck style wont work lol. car is in pieces. when my dad gets home i'll go to Home Depot and get some pipe and such to extend the breaker bar.

What i normally do is get the brake on all the way, get a breaker bar and my jack and i jack the breaker bar up the way i want it, normally breaks it. but this time all it did was raise the car up lol.

Might be better off not using the redneck method, just threw it out there as a last resort idea. Good luck sounds like it being a real pain.
