hey guys, i just got my sweet 95 4 door neon sport not too long ago, its red hehe

but my friend with the silly boat of a grand prix GT wants to race me, says neons are woman cars

u guys think i can take this dude or what?
i know neons are fast, but i've never seen his car really boot it down the road

Unless you have an SRT-4 not a chance. Sorry, he's got four more cylinders than you. You'd get smoked off the line assuming he knows what he's doing. Get a #14 cam, intake and exhaust, maybe some N2O and you've got him though.

 

the 97-03 grand prix GT's have the series 2 3800 V6 in it, not a v8

pushing ~220hp/230crank but @ 3600lbs stock

you didn't say what year sorry. And no you still don't have a chance. He's got the top end and down low. Hope he doesn't know how to race.Do you have an sohc or a dohc? any mods? what kinda race? more info please, probably still gonna lose though.

 

It doesn't matter what year. There is no V-8 Grand Prix from the factory. The fastest one is the Grand Prix GTP w/ a 260 hp, 280 lb-ft torque Supercharged V6.

You're right he doesn't know what he's talking about. FYI...although GP's have a good amount more power they are by no means fast cars, unless you have the GTP. If you go from a dead stop you'll probably get taken. If you go from a roll depending on the drivers you might get him. I've run a Grand Prix GT from a 70 roll and had it, either he didn't know how to drive or they aren't that great up top.

 

95 neon=slow and definately not sweet. grand prix gt's run high 15's stock. your toast done unless you have mods

 

all GP's come in auotmatics...right? if thats the case then you dont really have to know how to drive one lol just hit the gas and go lol
