you will have to change just about every sensor on the engine as well as the starter and alternator.

Well im going to look at a 98 neon this weekend and if it fits what im looking for then I will pick it up and hopefully start this build soon and get some pics posted. I have been itching ever since I got this motor. Plus I cant wait to start driving an automatic again. WITH AC!!!

What are the advantages of going with the Megasquirt vs. OEM with map clamp?

Bare with me as im still learning all this. It seems pretty basic to me but the only thing is the Megasquirt. Im not very CPU savy and the whole tuning thing is way out there for me. I understand that it will do WAY more then OEM but I still cant find all parts online that I would need to do the Megasquirt setup.

Thanx in advance.

MS gives you total control of the engine.

Is there any way just by looking at these pics what the possible year range this motor is?
Is there a place I can get an MS already assembled and ready for installation where all I have to do is wire it in and upload the file and go?

Look at the intake manifold and see it the MAP and IAT sensors are separate. If so, then you have a 95...otherwise w/o looking at the sensors themselves, there isn't a way to know.

And yes the muffler is a "Rustsetter" exhaust. Don't use it!

I found these pics of 95 and 96-99 map's. Are these correct? 96-99 has a temp sensor in the map and the 95 doesnt? Please verify if im correct.

95 MAP

96-99 MAP

Default Damn snow

Well after reviewing my pix of the motor and searching online at some parts, I have discovered my motor is a 95. So once I finally get this car home I will swap all the necessary sensors from the 98 to the 95. It is snowing like hell here and was hoping that it wouldnt be too bad so I can pickup the car. So if tomorrow aint too bad then I will try and get it home and cleaned and prepped for the swap.
