Default sucked up some water.....

alright so it has been raining a lot here lately. and to some it up i got stuck in a large puddle. To make that story better, i also have a CAI underneath my battery.....so it sucked up water. the car will not start, it just clicks once. it doesn't try to fire or anything. All my Accessories still come on. I took the intake off and you cant see the water in the intake manifold. So my question is. what the heck do i do from here?

any help would be great.

you have hydrolock.

take out the sparkplugs and crank the engine to get the water out.

do a compression check.

if its normal then go ahead and start the car.
if its not normal then push it over a cliff and report it stolen. you need a new engine.

i got a question for you. you know you have a CAI, that said, why would you drive in deep water? and dont tell me it was just a puddle. thats bull****.

no it doesnt turn over. just clicks once.

and yes i knew i had the intake low. I just didnt think the water was that deep. and it wasnt a first. i was fine but then it got deep real quick. And its not like i could have just went around it every road to get out of my neighborhood was like this. This one was probably the least shallow..I was already mad for other reason, i was also late for work. and yeah. back to the car.

I am going out right now to start taking everything apart and hopefully i will be able to dry it out. but if not then who knows maybe shell have a nice 2.4 in her.

but if any body else knows anything or could help. please do. thanks alot guys

worst case would be hydraulic lock, most likely bending rods or failed ring lands. You can check for this as soon as you pull the plugs and rotate the engine.

best case would be on the stater wiring
