do you think $600 is to much for a 95, dohc 2.0 with 74k on it?

sorry your statement is incorrect. a 95 Neon 5spd ''BRAND NEW'' only got 25mpg city/ 34mpg hwy. so how could your car 156,000 miles later get more?

hey don't yack till you can come prove me wrong. i have a local mechanic here in town who rebuilt my whole car from the ground up. replaced everything that could cause problems. he also fine tuned the engine and now i get 45 mpg highway easy. don't believe come put your money where you mouth is.

i live in southern ohio, just north of cincinnati and i made it to cleveland and back on one tank of gas. i have made that trip many times different weather. cold hot, whatever. you want to prove me wrong, come on

that is 223 miles according to google maps one way. do that math that is 446 miles round trip plus pulling over to get snacks and restroom brake. my speedometer said it was 495 miles that includes a little driving around town.

come prove me wrong.

then we will post again.

DOHC engines around here are very hard to come by. So they sell for alot usually. TO give you an idea the only dohc in town is selling for 450, and the timing belt went out on it so it has bent valves. There are other options. You can almost rebuild your sohc to a dohc within that price range. Also the 95-99 eclipse lower ends will work with the neon also.
