hello folks, i wanna know wich camshaft i can use form my neon, cuz now is rev 7200rpm and i want a cam that can make rev the car like 8000 rpm or more, wich one i can use, if u can, send me too a link where i can find it thanks a lot

 

doesnt matter what the cam can rev too....
you can get a mopar performance pcm to make the car rev a little higher...about 200rpm...otherwise you have to run a stand alone system...
its no the cam thats holding the car back, is the pcm

 

thats right, but remenber, if u buy the pcm (i call it ecu) to make the car rev more high, ur stressing the cam and the engine too, cuz ur forcing it, that why i want a camshaft for that revs, i only can find a 262 crane or crower, it exist a more higher for my sohc like 276 or 280???

 

there isnt as much of a worry about the cam as there is the springs and retainers too.

thanks man i aprecciat that, i got another question, i got another pcm in my neon , before my neon was reving 6750rpm now are reving 7300, my question its, what can i do for make my car rev so much more, no changing the pcm, does exist a chip for make that? can ya tell me the name to buy it

 

nope no chip, if you really want to tune for high rpm youll have to change the PCM and do major upgades to the valve train.

head up, DIY doesn't make one that will work with the neon (unless you have it modded) I'd suggest the SYMTECH labs set up. (since Una doesn't make them anymore)
