Unhappy Persistant break squeek

For a few months ago now now, i had a bad altercation with a curb. ended up replacing the steering knuckle, control arm, and strut. every since the cars been back on the road there's been an annoying sqeak / grinding noise from the front left (wheel that was hit). I brought it to the local shop a few weeks ago, and they replaced the pads, something i could have done myself, but oh well. They said it was all fixed, yet when i took it out, the sound came back within half an hour. i brought it back and was informed that i needed new rotors as they couldn't cut mine any more than they are. this week i got new rotors, and installed them myself. everything went together nicely, yet. the sound is STILL there. im going crazy trying to figure out what is wrong, and causing this. any suggestions before i make another 200 dollar trip to the shop?
thanks,
Matt

Were the calipers replaced? Sounds like that one might be sticking a little bit.

No the calipers were not replaced. I was unsure as to what to do next, thinking maybe the hub was bent from the accident. I will try a caliper next then, any other ideas?

when you installed the rotors did you use new pads? if you didnt, wait for about 100 miles for the pads to seat. are the caliper guides lubed?

if you hit somthing with the wheel it tends to damage the bearing

The shop put in new brake pads in the front, even though i never asked them too. There are new rotors all the way around. The sqeel is coming from the front left, the same wheel that got creamed by a curb a few months ago.
just wanted to clarify that this noise is constant. and gets worse when i press the brakes slightly. but goes away mostly when i apply the brakes hard, until the car slows to about 5 mph, then it becomes more of a grinding sound. I need a new shop, this is true. and what are the anti-squeal clips you speak of...?

i dont think our neons have anti-chatter clips (AKA anti-squeal)

try bleeding that caliper

Dug this up.....I have the same exact problem with my car. Hit a curb a few months ago....it's a constant squeel...gets worse as I slow down...until it becomes a grinding sound. Pads and Rotors are brand news, caliper is greased and seems to be working well, and the brake fluid is brand new. I'm pretty sure it is the wheel bearing.

Any other experiences?

try jacking the left front up and moving the wheel up and down to see if there is a clunking sound or feeling. it sounds like the hub though from previous work expierences
