Actually spud, with the sportline springs on you do not need spring compressors however an impact wrench is advised to use. I just did mine with sportline springs and KYB gr2 all the way arround. took me about 3 hours the first time and 45 min the second time.

You don't need a spring compressor if you have lowering springs.

yes on the stock front springs you need spring compressors. Also, I am not sure but, if you have the Eibach Pro Springs; you may need the spring compressor.

Default struts and springs

i just installed a full set of koni adjustables and mopar hi rates (thanks spud!) and while i was doing that, i also changed out all the bushings for energy suspension eurathane (sp?) bushings, and installed Suspension Techniques swaybars. for both front and rear, total install time for me, with NO prior experience and only a floor jack and jack stands and necessary tools, it took me two full weekends. but i also was distracted by my dad needing help (which i provided, seeing as i am using his shop space!) i'd say that to do the struts and springs won't take very long tho, just take off the tires one at a time, take out the 2 big bolts at the bottom of the strut, then the 3 or 4 (i think it's four all the way around? 4 in the rear for sure) bolts at the top of the strut. shouldn't take more than a couple hours. be aware tho, that you WILL need an alignment afterwards. that's why i'm not driving mine right now, i'm 30 miles away from an alignment. need to borrow a trailer to get it done. also, i have a set of struts and dropzone springs i'm not using anymore. i couldn't tell anything was bad with them. i just dropped them out in favor of the performance ones... also, they are already put together for ya!

ok this is going to sound like a stupid question but it seems weird to me. I just got my kyb's yesterday and was wondering if there should be any difference between the front and rear struts? All four of them look exactly the same and for some reason I had the impression that fronts would be a bit different from the rears. Just want to make sure modern didn't mess up my order....
