Water pump
I am looking for a little advice. I have a 1998 neon (DOHC) and the water pump needs replacing. While looking at my Chiltons' manual I found that it states I need to perform a "timing relearn procedure" with the use of a DRB or equivalent scanner. I found a used scanner on e-bay for $499, this is a little more than I want to spend. My question is this, is the timing relearn procedure really necessary or is there a way around it? Thanks for any help you can give me.
well i didnt do that but my manual did say to and i just replaced my timing belt and water pump i just made sure to set the timing marks almost perfectly as good as i could get it and it seems to be fine
