Default 98 neon ACR help please

I have a 98 neon acr i changed out the fuel pump thinking the fuel filter would come as part of the fuel pump but i was just told today that the fuel filter is inside the pressure regulator witch is on top of the fuel pump cap on the out side of the tank if some one who might no can help me i need to no cuz if what the guy said is true i need to change is cuz it has 211000 miles on it and that would be the reason of my slight power loss......hopefully

Ya its located on the top of the fuel pump assembly and yes the fuel pressure regulator and filter are built together. You can get one Online or at the dealer i believe seperately. I believe there is also a prefilter that is a bigger canister also on some.

Make sure you get the right one. Sounds like you have a plastic tank. Last time I tried to get one it only took them 3 tries. I doubt that is whats giving you a slight power difference.

Did you check your fuel pressure before attempting to replace it?
