Default Struts and mounts?

I've got bad struts. My ft ones are leaking, and my rear ones have pitted shafts. Struts are about $60 each. Mounts are about $50 extra... What the ****??? Should I bother replacing them or not? I'm getting a clunk from the rear, but the FT isnt making noise (just a kinda bouncy ride)
I'm considering just replacing the rear struts, but should I do the mounts also? How do I know if they're the problem or not? Also, should I consider replacing the springs too?

Pull your struts and inspect your mounts. Then decide on whether or not to buy.

No visible damage to the mounts. Bought them anyways.

Install time of about 2 hours, in a heated garage with minimal work room on either side (2 feet tops) on stands...

Pass side was cracked under the metal retaining grommet, with the bushing starting to sepperate. Drivers side had the bushing compleatly sepperated and it was flopping around causing a clunking noise.

Make sure to mark everything well before you dissassemble, or else you get to pay to have it aligned...

After a strut install, you should still get the alignment checked.

True, but I dont like my rear tires anyways, and would love a reason to scramble for money and replace them. I'll be doing the ft struts and mounts eventually also, I'll pay the extra 10 bux and have the *** aligned at that time also
