yeah i know...ive only been on this forum for the last 3 years to lead everyone in the wrong direction....
if i knew sumthing about neons then maybe i could figure out how to fix the dome light in my car

 

You have a dome light issue too, please do tell. i keep blowing 15amp fuses trying to get the dome light to stay on and cant figure out where the short might be. And no spud some guys will act like the car gods of neons on here and not know jack. what causes it to go out and how do i test one from the junk yard since it is another dealer only part around here. and while you are at it, please let me know how the hell I can put more than 10 dollars worth of gas in my car at a time because the feul neck is screwed up.

 

I have heard my purge solenoid tick a few times. Some seem to do it more than others. Kinda like the PCM noise....I have never had any PCM make the noise....others have it all the time.

 

1. get a new fuel neck
2. i was being kinda sarcastic about the dome light, but mine doesnt work when 3 of the doors are open, it only works with the passenger door....this tells me that i need to replace the door pins..
if your having a problem blowing fuses, it might always be the headlight switch

 

lol, spud. my dome light works with three of the doors but the rear passanger side doesn't activate light when it is on but it doesn't bother me because i never open just that door. however sometimes it decides to work and flickers while i am driving down the highway, and it looks like disco car.

 

I dont think it is the headlight switch, it has something to do with the way the radio is supposed to be wired, and I cant figure it out. I would like to get a new feul neck, do you happen to know if i can grab one off of a 99 neon or something like that, I was told it is a neon problem. And I have a new problem today anyways.

 

the fill neck will work off of any 95-99 neon with the plastic tank

 

I am pretty sure that all the 95s came with the metal tank.

 

i have come across a few late 95's that had a plastic tank

 

Makes me wonder it the tank was ever swapped.
