It's not terribly difficult. Use a 2gn bottom end, dohc pistons, and the dohc head. You need all the timing components from the dohc block, and of course the manifolds, but the sohc computer will run it okay. You can use the PT cruiser cam sensor and it will work the computer fine. If it is a 00-02, find an AFX computer for it.

I'd think the PT PCM should run things well enough for a 2G dohc. Would be nice to see someone pop this cherry.

 

Apparently jelloman457 on 2gn.org put a 2.4 stratus motor into a 00-02 neon, ran it just liek I said (PT exhaust cam sensor, stock computer) ans sprayed the mess out of it. Never found out what he ran, but it was fast.
