Angry rev limiter quit?

i have a 1995 dodge neon sohc automatic right...

my battery died and i got a jump start, and my rev limiter was gone. its set at 4000 rpms. which is really low considering it idles at 2. so i was driving around and the limiter kicked back in. now i am determined to find it. where could it be. i want it gone!!!

ok... my rev limiter is broken......

Q: What is the rev and speed limiter?
A: The rev limiter for the SOHC is 6750 RPM and 7250 RPM for the DOHC, unless it's an auto then it's 6750 also. The speed limiter is 118 MPH for all neons, except for the R/T and ACR which are governed at 130 MPH. The 95 ACR has no speed limiter. The Mopar PCM's speed limiter is 149MPH and the AF/x has no speed limiter as well.

mines set at 4000, here under FAQ it should be 6750. now im pissed. how do i fix it? im good for 6750, that'll work. i cant put up with this spittin along BS i have delt with for 4 months.!!!

y you dont unplug the map sensor! check it on and clean it, the disconetc the battery for 5 minutes and conect it again, if u dont want to do that, u can switch 3 times the key and wait for the "check engine soon" he gonna appear and desappear, if apear and desapear 3 times its a "3" and then it do it 2 times its a "2" so the error code its 32 any questios im avaible to help ya bro!

thanks guys. i'll try that. early on my way to school yesterday morning. i was pissed knowing the **** was set to low so on an entrance ramp by my house i rode it at 4 and it let go and the rev limiter went back to normal.
new one, off from a stop light it hesitates and in park or neutral it wont rev hard. like its misfireing or something.

would a bad map sensor also read as a bad throttle positioning sensor? i pulled the codes with a diagnostics and i got the code for the positioning sensor.

if you got the code for the tps, then replace the tps see if that solves your problem, you might not actually have a problem with the limiter, your computer might just think the throttle plate isnt opened properly and isnt getting you past 4k rpms
