Default Mileage Club

You know I've been thinking, I have seen alot of people with diesels making high mileage clubs like for instance the vw or the mercedes have a 500K mile club, Cummins has a 1 Million mile club. Some of the neons that I have seen have pretty high miles too. Take mine for instance Mine is running strong at 277K miles and will easily surpass the 300K mark by the end of this year. What would an extraordinary mark for these engine? I know if a toyota (Too Often Yankees Overprice These Automobiles) or honda (Had One Never Did Again), Just had to add that in, get 300K they are often praised, Dang it we need a little noise too. You can buy a honda civic or a toyota corolla that is a 95 model year for about 2500 to 3K where as our neons get about 1500 in the same condition. Heck I got mine for free (I guess friends don't count) but he wanted $500. MAKE SOME NOISE NEONS TOO OFTEN GET LAUGHED AT, Neons are awesome cars.

300,000 would be a hell of a mile marker for these cars....

my 95 neon just rolled over 87,000....when i got it, it had 62,000 on it and that was about last july

first would be 150k, then 200k, then 250k then 300k then 350k then 400k. One of mine would be at the 200k mark and then the other would be at the 250k mark. still going strong, cept i let my dad drive it a couple weeks ago and it died at the end of the street. let it sit for 3 weeks till i could look at it, and now the heater core is clogged. oh well.

320,000 Was my highest in a neon. Then it had lower engine failure. Car is still running this day with over 500,000 miles and I think its on its 3rd motor.

Just bought a 99 from my friend with 215,000 mostly highway, original motor and tranny and clutch.
Replaced one ac line, replaced the timing belt and normal stuff.
The dealership can read your computer and get the mileage.

The body of my neon is around 700K miles, I'm on engine #5, Tranny #3.
I used to put 90K miles on my neon a year between work, partying, crusing the street racing scene every weekend and traveling all over the eastern US just cause I felt like driving to a place I've never been b4. Now I put about 5k miles a year, if that. Car is not fit for the road, it's set up to run on a track.
