If you drove threw the puddle. I wouldnt say its a rod. But I could be wrong. Because if one cylinder got enough water to break a rod, then the other cylinders and intake manifold would also be swamped. Were talking gallon(s) of water in the matter of seconds? Your situation doesnt sound worse then my 2. So I hope it all works out.

well i was flooring it so i think it did alot, also it is idleing pretty rough

you prolly sucked up alot of water then just keep flushing your motor and it should help good luck

by flushing it do u mean putting in fresh oil every time?

you can go to advanced auto and buy this stuff called motor flush and you mix in with your oil and run it through as long as it says on the bottle and maybe that will help or you can just keep buying oil and putting it in until the sound goes away

today i drove to my high school auto shop and it idles in a surging kind of way and me and my teacher were using mechanics stethiscopes and figured out its comeing from the head by cylinder #1

i hear ya i hate it when people look at you cuz your car makes some funky noises lol...I used to get funky noises with my other car because of the belts and its like mind your own buisness ya know lol..
