So i went to check my dads oil in his Neon, it was a quart low so i opened up the cap and found...

The hole inside where the cap goes onto was completely coated with it as well. But my dad only drives it a mile to and from work so he doesn't want me to fix it.

yup. its even leaking it onto the ground a little bit. Least maybe could just be condensation from it not warming up all the way.

fix it now before it does any more damage to the bearings...either that or buy an engine and prep it to go in when this one lets go.

driving a mile to and from work every day, it will still last a long longtime.....

a friend of mine had a 96 neon that had a crack sumwhere....due to the crack it would suck all the oil into the cooling system....he still drove the hell out of the car for about a year and its still running today...with about 4 quarts of oil in the radiator

his car has 218,000 miles on it. He doesn't want to spend any money on it.

I just wait till the motor blows then go get another one. they average about $200 for a good used one or $500 for a remanufactured
