Default help with problems that im having with used engiine

ok guys im having a probkem with a used engine i bought. i put hahns turbo kit on it an it. so now when you run the car the valve cover of m sohc it has to vents one that goes to the pcv valve going to the intake and the ohter that i have no idea where it goes. but now exhaust gases are coming out of the the vent tube that is behind the coil pack. i hope that u guys can figure out y there is postive pressure coming out of that tube uguys maybe tell me hwat that could mean? is that bad? it wasnt coming out like that b4. there was no pressure there. i hope that isnt bad. i also have a knocking noise but maybe that is the cam i have i got a hr 259 cam will that cause alot of valve train noise? i also didnt change out to my hd springs . any ideas? and also is the hr 259 cam meant for turbo specs? is that cam good for turbos? also online it said that i dont need to have aftermarket springs is that true? i got 30 day warrenty on this engine should i bring it back? some one please help me out and anser all the questions i asked here thanks '

do a compression check. it sounds like you cracked a ring land or you have some other internal compression leak.

Doesnt it void the warranty by installing a turbo?

Does the engine have all the things in your mod list?

Never heard of that cam, do yo have a link to it?

If there is smoke running out the breathers on the valve cover, I bet you killed a piston.

Yeah the same thing happened on my brothers car, his exhaust was blowing thru the breathers pretty hard, pulled the engine and there we found a cracked ring land. One tube on the valve cover goes to the PCV and the other is like a breather tube which goes to the air filter tube. Sorry bud, but these guys are right on for this one.

i did a compression check i got 130 on all 4 pistons. i was thinknig maybe the turbo oil seal is bad and the gas was coming thur the oil line. i thought comression should be alot higher then that. what should i do? and the camshaft is from comp cams http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/Ca...?csid=765&sb=2

they say you can use that cam with out cghanging the valve springs. im looking for a set of used titaium retainers and maybe a set of springs that got the inner spring to. i have hd springs but they dont have the inner sprring. i only boosted the motor the lowest boost teh turbo would go

How did you do the compression check there are alot of ways? I usually get about 160 maybe 150 at the lowest. I would check the pvc. But if your getting more then usual amount of air out the oil cap, breather or the oil stick whole its blow-by on the pistons. Valve seals may be a possibility also, but I am not sure. I will pull out my engine book from school and get back to you. A leakdown test on the cylinders may reveal the problem very easily for you.

ok i did a nother compression check. piston one i got 180and 190 with oil. piston 2 i got 200 and with oil i got 210. piston 3 i got 130 and with oil i got 150. piston 4 i got 170 with oil got 190. my oil cap has white oily residie on it from the moisture from the exceive blow by. i think piston 3 ether has broken ring or cracked ring landing, or the head gasket is bad. but if it was the head gasket then the pressure wouldnt have come up much if it was the head gasket. so i think its the rings. the guy is coming by to check the engine tomarrow and see if he wants me to take the head off check the piston and change the head gasket maybe buy new rings and drop the pan and put new rings on the hole engine and put new rod bearings in and be done with it. what should i do??
