Default Oil or coolant

I was out basically all my oil after like 100 miles of driving and yet the smoke is really white which is said to be coolant. Car doesn't overheat, at times it reaches just above the halfway but could be cause my looped line is kinda kinked and only have 1 fan. No oil on the ground anywhere. Is there anyway to tell which it is? If it take it to a shop will they diagnose the problem for free?

there is no reason you should be burning coolant, the smoke that your seeing is most likly an internal oil leak.

The rings are all on correct but seems to smoke in all 4 cylinders when I remove the SP's. The engine was honed. Would the head resurfacing solve the problem since the oil goes from the head to the block at the HG?

white smoke - oil
black smoke - rich fuel mix
light blue/green smoke - coolant

do a differential compression check, this should help find where your leaking

sorry, but I must interject..

-White smoke is white because it's steam, not smoke thats coolant getting into combustion chamber, usually head gasket

-Blue smoke is burning oil, from a stop or first start, its valve seals, when on the gas it's rings or PCV.

-Black smoke is overly rich mixture, I agree with that
Never heard of green smoke though, better change the flux capacitor

Speaking of which, does anyone have a flux capacitor for sale? Mine went out when I got here.

anyways back on topic. I agree with GLX and the smoke colours.

First thing I would do is Drive for a bit and Keep a good eye on all the fluids. Listen for bubbling coolant and keep an eye on the smoke and see if it subsides. I noticed after I redid the head. I had quite a bit of oil in the combustion chambers. When we finaly assembled it and started it, it eventualy cloged the cat.
Also, I do not know if this is true or not, I head though if you run the engine at high idle will clean the cat out. this info may be slightly unrelated. but is some insight because it is part of the exhaust system. That, and I can't remember which member is rebuilding their engine or engines this week to the next anymore.
