There's a guy talking alot of trash about neons in my class, and I was wandering if there's any truth to it. He seems to think he has the GTP engine in his GT grand prix (supercharged VS non), and keeps calling my car a slow pos... his car has around 100k miles on it, looks stock, sounds like the Alternator is whining instead of a supercharger. Dual coffee can exhaust tips. Mine has about 165k on it, DOHC, 5 speed (performance B trans), 14" bubble wheels with new all seasons, UDP, 3.0 CAI, MM inserts, and a semi solid bobble...
Oh and we both have a system in the trunk.
Think I've got a chance in a 0-100 run, or should I just stfu?

you got it off the line to about 70mph...then he'll fly by you...but the neon is really good off the line...especially w/ fresh rubber and solid mounts.
Edit: I had my friend's Tbird SC up till then...he couldn't get off the line as fast...too heavy I had minor mods, CAI, mounts, headders, he had 3.6 V6 supercharged 5spd. w/ 30% undersized pulley on the supercharger.
if its supercharged or not he's got ya above 70... those 3.8s really come alive above 60 or so... but in an 1/8 mile race or 0-65 your probably got a decent chance of winning but remember it also depends on how good of a driver you are and how good he is...
The dude weighs at least 280... Im almost half that. His idea of a launch is flooring it as fast as you can. I'm not saying I'm a professional or anything, but I can drive. So even though he cant drive, his car is faster and will win? Dang, that sucks.
