Dude, it is NOT a 420A

Replace the tempature sending unit and post your results.
Something is wrong if it's still overheating...

Yeah Eclipse's and some avenger had the 420A. The neons have the same engine but the head is different.

i dont think your lighting issue comes from the battery in the trunk cause thats where i have mine..and my lights are fine with a 15 L7 running 2000watts through the car..with only 1 cap

and its not a 420a even though the heads are reversed...its either called an ecc or ecb from what i remember one for a DOHC and a SOHC...

Never seen the point of moving weight off the front axle... but anyways what size wires did you use? I think you should add a large (0 or 2) ground from the firewall to the block, since you removed the main engine ground when you relocated your battery... Also, if your car is rusty, you might have some pretty poor grounding from the trunk to the engine compartment...

A 420A does not fit in a neon. The intake manifold is nearest the fire wall, and sits up too high for the hood to close. One could switch to a box manifold for turbo application, but not worth the work for n/a.

As far as the overheating; did you have the head checking for flatness, all head bolts properly torqued, no air bubbles in the coolant?
