tranny help ASAP

Default tranny help ASAP

ok so im haven some tranny problems it drove fine all the gears worked now recently it will not go into gear i replaced the clutch cable with a new one from modernperformance and still doesnt go into gear and i know the trannys good cuz i drove it home like that but it was hard to shift up couldnt shift down can anyone help me out as soon as possible i need to get my car drivable my clutch pedal feels like theres nothing there but i drove it 2000 miles with the current clutch and no slipping the clutch is brand new when i drove it home as is it didnt slip either just had engagment issues please let me know as soon as anyone can

Sounds like you missed something during installation. Can't think of what it might be off the top of my head.

idk its been driving fine till a few days ago and now it wont go into gear it ran amazing and shifted real smooth now it wont go into gear could it be the throw out bearing??? cuz when i drove it home like that it would let me up shift would slip but was hard to go into gear i had to shut the car off put it back in first to get it home also when my ******* friend help me do the trans he put automatic trans fluid in it and i think thats may have cause a major problem

Throwout bearings tend to be noisy when going bad. You will hear a clatter when shifting. ATF fluid is alot thinner than MTX fluid. Drain and refill with the correct fluid.

whats wieght oil should i put in it ? so i get the correct stuff also is there a way to stiffing the clutch pedal it feels like nothings there

I used the mopar from the factory and It works great. Otherwise I use atf+4 and that also worked great for me.

What kind of clutch did you put in it? Did you replace the throw out bearing? Did you try shimming the clutch pedal?

the clutch and throwout bearing came from my donor car that drove fine everything i swaped over was from the donor the clutch only had about 5k miles and the tranny itself had 40k i replaced the clutch cable with an oem one from modern performance and how to i go about shimming ym clutch pedal it has way to much play i looked at the clutch fork and it seems to be working fine

well i talked to my buddy i got the donor car from and he was nice enough to tell me now that the throw out bearing was old and needed to be replaced so now after all the bull**** it went through to put that tranny in i have to pull it back out to replace the throwout bearing and maybe put a new clutch in while im at it is it wierd that my clutch asembly bolts to an automatic flywheel???
